2012 Topps Baseball Card Scans
I’ve been posting a blog a day leading up to opening day, and one of the more popular entries was back on February 2nd when I reviewed the 2012 Topps set. I’ve decided to follow that post up by showing my readers every single card in the 2012 Topps series one baseball card set. I’ve scanned all of the cards. Yes, it took a long time – I did several cards a day, not all at once – I would’ve gone crazy if I had to scan 330 cards in one sitting.
What is the coolest overall card? I’m picking Kyle Blanks – that picture is pretty glorious.
The creepiest card? How about Chris Carpenter – it looks as if Albert Pujols is a split second away from planting a kiss on him.
Best action shot? I’ll go with Jayson Werth’s card. That slide on his card was about the only thing that went right for him in 2011.
Ugliest card? Jered Weaver. That expression makes me cringe.

There’s only 40 days until opening day, 7 days until the first broadcasted game on MLB TV (Yankees vs Phillies), and 1 more day to win a Phillies shirt.
Also, 36 consecutive days of postings!
Cool to see a lot of the cards. I have I think 72 cards or so, but I may get more. Will have to upload an entry on this when my basketball beats are both done.
Have you gotten a Skip Schumaker card yet?
That is cool to see all the cards. The one of Ben Revere diving for the ball was awesome. I also saw something kind of interesting in the cards. I was at a game at Kauffman last year when Denard Span was digging around the bases going for an inside the parker. I had a great seat and I can still see the speedy Denard running for all he was worth with his cheeks puffed out. The ball beat Denard to the plate and was handled by Brayan Pena. Denard slid and Pena had the plate blocked perfectly. Instead of bowling him over, he slid right into him. It was like he slid into a brick wall. The force of the slide gave Span a concussion which had him out for quite awhile. Denard’s card seems to show his end of the play while Pena’s card shows his end. I also like the tradition that Topps has of good players cards ending in 5, even better players ending in a 0 and the best in the game ending in 00. I remember in my card buying days in the early and mid 80’s, the 00 cards were always reserved for the biggest names like Brett, Jackson, Bench, and Carew.
Big Glove Bob
Man thats lot of cards, cant believe its only 7 more days til i can actually watch a game.
I would have liked to have Thome and Willis in the Phils pins. I just bought O’s tix to see the Phillies!
I am so excited for Spring Training games to start!
Take the cards down, it making site run too slow.
I think that’s why your hits are going down. Sometimes when I try to get on my comp freezes when loading all the cards
It should be better once that entry gets pushed to the second page. 330 pics is a lot for one entry.
